IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR CUSTOMERS:

Canada

Significant Delays Continue

We have been notified that Canadian customers should expect significant delays due to a high number of COVID-19 cases throughout the country.

Canada Post is reporting delays out of both the East Coast & West Coast USA facilities into Canada:

  • In Vancouver, Canada Post is reporting they are backlogged by 18 trucks, down from 27 trucks last week.
  • In Toronto and Ontario, multiple COVID-19 cases have been reported by staff, leading to truck backlogs. As of this morning, Toronto has reported a backlog of 19 trucks.
  • Montreal is currently experiencing a backlog of 28 trucks. Canada Post anticipates a delay of 10 business days.

Parcels being delivered by Canada Post may be delayed 2-3 weeks as employees at the Toronto processing plant work in shifts alongside a mandatory 14-day quarantine.

United Kingdom

Continued Delays due to COVID-19

Delays are continuing to be observed in the United Kingdom as the country continues widespread restrictions due to a new strain of coronavirus detected in southeast England. There are delays at the UK/France border, a major hub in Europe, and many countries have banned flights from the UK to enter the border. This can lead to delivery past the estimated delivery date on the recipients tracking page.

Sweden

Continued Delays due to COVID-19

We have been notified that customs in Sweden is delayed by up to five (5) business days due to COVID-19. This can lead to delivery past the estimated delivery date on the recipients tracking page.

Belgium Delays

Expect delays due to national strike and high parcel volume

There is a national strike of postal workers in Belgium that has caused a backlog in parcel delivery volume.  The strike will end in the next week, and all parcels are being prioritized for delivery when postal workers return to their normal schedule.

France Delays

Expect delays due to new COVID-19 lockdown measures

In an effort to control the spread of the new UK variant of COVID-19, the French government implemented a new lockdown as of 05 April 2021.

Delays will occur as there is a National Curfew in effect for the hours of 6:00 am through 6:00 PM for a minimum of 4 weeks.

Azerbaijan

Delays Observed

Passport is monitoring significant delays in Azerbaijan. These delays have led to delivery up to 3 months past the estimated delivery dates on the customers tracking page.

Destination Country Scanning Issues

We have been alerted that some destination countries practicing contactless delivery have suspended written proof of delivery, which means that accurate delivery scan data may not be provided.

This applies to parcels bound for Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, The Netherlands, Singapore, and Russia.

United Arab Emirates

DDU Service: Delays Continue

Passport is continuing to monitor significant delays in the United Arab Emirates at the DDU Service Level. Delays for DDU packages can lead to delivery 4-6 weeks after the Expected Delivery Dates on the customers tracking page.

Australia

Expect delays after flooding closures and COVID-19 lockdown

Flooding and extreme weather conditions across New South Wales (NSW) and Queensland (QLD) closed several post offices in Australia, impacting the ability for carriers in Australia to transport mail and parcels. Australia also lifted their lockdown on April 1, 2021, which created further delays. Please expect delivery delays.

Australia Post has advised that written proof of delivery is suspended, until further notice, for inbound items. Expect delays in delivery.

New Zealand

Significant Delays Continue

Expect delays of up to 15 business days

There are major international delivery delays with parcels arriving in to NZ from overseas due to insufficient airfreight capacity and government restrictions. Items shipped to New Zealand are delayed up to 15 business days.

Destination Country Scanning Issues

We have been alerted that some destination countries practicing contactless delivery have suspended written proof of delivery, which means that accurate delivery scan data may not be provided.
